Marketing ROI dashboard

A marketing ROI dashboard is the single view a CEO, CMO, or CRO uses to see what marketing spend produced, in terms of pipeline and revenue, over a given period. For lean B2B teams, it is the artefact that ends the recurring debate about whether marketing is working.

Most marketing dashboards report activity (sessions, MQLs, social engagement) rather than outcome (pipeline, revenue, payback). A marketing ROI dashboard inverts that priority: outcomes are headline, activity is supporting.

A useful ROI dashboard for a lean B2B team contains:

  • Pipeline sourced by campaign / channel / quarter.
  • Closed-won revenue attributed to marketing-sourced opportunities.
  • CAC and CAC payback period by acquisition channel.
  • Cost-per-opportunity trend, with cohort comparison.
  • A short narrative explaining what changed and why — the part most dashboards leave out.
